Black Hollow Cage

FICTION / THRILLER

Now she lives with her father in a house in the forest, completely isolated from the world.

An accident cost Alice her mother and an arm. Now, she lives with her father in a house in the forest, completely isolated from the world, with a prosthetic arm to live a normal life. Her only companion is a dog with whom she communicates using a device called “mama”. But one day, in the forest, Alice finds a black box that has the ability to alter the past and see the future.

Before 2017, when he released “Black Hollow Cage,” Spanish filmmaker Sadrac González-Perellón had only directed two feature films. The first was “Myna se va,” a drama about an immigrant. With “Black Hollow Cage,” González-Perellón turns a girl’s home into the perfect setting for a horror film.

The movie, mainly shot in the province of Girona (Catalonia), premiered in July 2017 in the international festival circuit starting with Switzerland, and the same month traveled across the continent to reach the Bucheon Film Festival (South Korea) where it won the Jury Prize. In October 2017, it premiered in the Official Section of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.
